Sleazy 'Church' Marketing
While this site is geared towards exposing companies who use hyper-sexualized marketing to push their products & agenda, some people are using these sleazy marketing tactics in 'Church'. All I'm going to say is this is not in the Bible. Using sex to 'sell' the church is beyond sleazy. This 'church' & others are preaching sex instead of spreading the Gospel. Run... You would HATE Song of Solomon.
Seriously, we need to stop this thinking, it's gotten the church in trouble. I'd even suggest that it's led to divorce and affairs. Sex isn't dirty. Sex is a gift that God gave to us. We should embrace it and help couples have healthy marriages and healthy sex lives, instead of running away from the conversation.
The conversation is happening. People are thinking about it. You have to choose to either engage with it or hide from it.
Where did I say a healthy, God centered sex life is smut? While I set this site up to expose hyper-sexualized marketing that comes from many industries in the secular world, It would be hypocritical of me not to speak out on this. The church should not be using hyper-sexualized marketing tactics that many pathetic companies use to sell products and push agendas.
I notice you only bothered to leave a comment on this post. While I don't like to 'assume', does that mean you're ok with sleazy marketing tactics in the secular world?
Yes, sex is a gift from God. That doesn't mean it needs to be 'sold' like a SNL skit. Using "Let's Get It On" is a healthy, God centered song choice?? Please.....
The sexual revolution is a secular movement. There's a place to have the conversation and there is a way to be present it without being so worldly.
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 (New International Version)
